How do I feel...??

Sometimes the toughest thing about feelings is sharing them with others. Sharing your feelings helps you when your feelings are good and when they aren't so good. Sharing also helps you to get closer to people you care about and who care about you. When people talk about feelings, they sometimes use word "emotions"..

You can't tell your friends what's inside your backpack if you don't know what's in there yourself. Feelings are the same way. Before you can share them with anyone, you have to figure out what feelings you have.

When you're trying to figure out your feelings, it might help to remember something that happened and think about how it made you feel. Then you can say, "arrgghhh..am I not good enough?? or "why I have to face this dissapoinment?"..this can help to figure out your own feelings. It also gives the person you're talking with more information about what's bothering you.

Sadness is a feeling - it's one of the many normal human emotions, or moods, we all have. Sadness is the emotion people feel when they've lost something important, or when they have been dissapointed about something, or when something sad has happened to them or to someone else.

When you are sad, the world may seem dark and unfriendly. You might feel like you have nothing to look forward to. The hurt deep inside may crush your usually good mood.

Few days ago I tried to figure out what feelings I have after I was being informed that I failed in the interview....(for the IT Specialist Course (scholarship) as I mentioned in my blog earlier). I mean it was not easy to say I don't feel anything..as a human of course I do feel something..sad,feeling down,dissapointed...everything....but hey, everyone gets sad...it's a normal feelings for normal people...and as a muslim I can't let myself being carried away with those feelings...I have tried my very best but it was something I have to accept... something that has been destined for me.

Sometimes when your mood is sad, ,you just feel like being alone for a little while. Or you might want someone to comfort you or just keep you company while you go through the sad feeling. Talking about what has made you sad usually helps the sad feelings melt away.

When sadness starts to go away, it can feel like a heavy blanket is being lifted from your shoulders... Then, you can put a smile on your face..

Mysteries Of The Mind - Part II

Mysteries of The Mind- (Continuation)

# 5 Brain Teaser
Laughter is one of the least understood of human behaviors. Scientists have found that during a good laugh three parts of the brain light up: a thinking part that helps you get the joke, a movement area that tells your muscles to move, and an emotional region that elicits the "giddy" feeling. But it remains unknown why one person laughs at your brother's foolish jokes while another chuckles while watching a horror movie. One thing is clear: Laughter makes u feel better.

#4 Nature vs Nurture
In the long running battle of whether our thoughts and personalities are controlled by genes or environment, scientists are building a convincing body of evidence that it could be either or both! The ability to study individual genes point s to many human traits that we have little control over, yet in many realms, peer pressure or upbringing has been shown heavily influence who we are and what we do.

#3 Mortal Mystery
Living forever is just for Hollywood. But why do humans age?You are born with a robust toolbox full of mechanisms to fight disease and injury, which you might think should arm you against stiff joints and other ailments. But as we age, the body's repair mechanisms get out of shape. In effect, your resilience to physical injury and stress declines. Theories for why people age can be divided into two categories: i) Like other human characteristics, aging could be a part of human genetics and is somehow beneficial. ii) In the less optimistic view, aging has no purpose and results from cellular damage that occurs over a person's lifetime. A handful of researchers, however, think science will ultimately delay aging at least long enough to double life spans.

#2 Deep Freeze
Living forever may not be a reality. But a pioneering field called cryonics could give some people two lives. Cryonics centers like Alcor Life Extension Foundation, in Arizona, store posthumous bodies in vats filled with liquid nitrogen at bone-chilling temperatures of minus 320 degrees Farenheit (78 Kelvin). The ideais that a person who dies from a presently incurable disease could be thawed and revived in the future when a cure has been found. The body of the late baseball legend Ted Williams is stored in one of Alcor's freezers. Like the other human popsicles, Williams is positioned head down. That way, if there were ever a leak in the tank, the brain would staysubmerged in the cold liquid. Not ine of the cryopreserved bodies has been revived, because that technology doesn't exist. For one, if the body isn't thawed at exactly the right temperature, the person's cells could turn to ice and blast into pieces.

#1 Conciousness
When you wake up in the morning, you might perceive that the Sun is just rising, hear a dew birds chirping, and maybe even feel a flash of happiness as the fresh morning air hits your face. In other words, you are concious. This complex topic has plagued the scientific community since antiquity. Only recently have neuroscientists considered consiousness a realistic research topic. The greatest brainteaser in this field has been to explain how processes in the brain give rise to subjective experiences. So far, scientists have managed to develop a great list of questions.

Mysteries Of The Mind..

Top 10 Mystery of The Mind

Much of what we don't understand about being human is simply in our heads. The brain is a befuddling organ, as are the very questions of life and death, conciousness, sleep, and much more. Here's a heads-up on what's known and whats not understood about your noggin. ---- Jenna Bryner

#10 Sweet Dreams
If you were to ask 10 people what dreams are made of, you'd probably get 10 different answers. Thts' because scientists are still unraveling this mystery. One possibility: Dreaming exercises brain by stimulating the trafficking of synapses between brain cells. Another theory is that people dream abt tasks and emotions that they didn't take care of during the day, and that the process can help solidify thots and memories. In general, scinetists agree that dreaming happens during your deepest sleep, called Rapid Eye Movement (REM).

#9 Slumber Sleuth
Fruit flies do it. Tigers do it. And humans can't seem to get enough of it. No, not that. We're talking about shut-eye, so crucial we spend more than a quarter of our lives at it. Yet the underlying reasons for sleep remain as puzzling as a rambling dream. One thing scientists do know: Sleep is crucial for survival in mammals. Extended sleeplessness can lead to mood swings, hallucination, and in extreme cases, death. There are two states of sleep - non rapid eye movement (NREM), during which the brain exhibits low metabolic activity, and rapid eye movement (REM), during which the brain s very active. Some scientists think NREM sleep gives your body a break..and in turn conserves energy, similar to hibernation. REM sleep could help to organize memories. However, this idea isn't proven, and dreams during REM sleep don't always correlate with memories.

#8 Phantom Feelings
It's estimated that about 80% of amputees experience sensations, including warmth, itching, pressure and pain, coming from the missing limb. People who experience this phenomenon, known as"phantom limb," feel sensations as if the missing limb were part of their bodies. One explanation says that the nerves area where the limb severed create new connections to the spinal cord and continue to send signals to the brain as if the missing limb was still there. Another possibility is that the brain is "hard-wired" to operate as if the body were fully intact - meaning the brain holds a blueprint of the body with all parts attached.

#7 Mission Control
Residing the hypothalamus of the brain, the suprachiasmatic nucleus, or biological clock, programs the body to follow a 24-hr rhythm. The most evident effect on circadian rhytym is the sleep-wake cycle, but the biological clock also impacts digestion, body temperature, blood pressure, and hormone production. Researchers have found that light intensity can adjust the clock forward on backward by regulating the hormone melatonin. The latest debate is whether or not melatonin supplements could help prevent jet lag - the drowsy, achy feeling you get when "jetting" across time zones.

#6 Memory Lane
Some experiences are hard to forget, like perhaps your first kiss. But how does a person hold onto these personal movies? Using brain-imaging techniques, scientists are unraveling the mechanism responsible for creating and storing memories. They are finding the hippocampus, within the brain's gray matter, could act as a memory box. But this storageare isn't so discriminatory. It turns out that both true and false memories activate similar brain regions. To pull out the real memory, some researchers ask a subject to recall in memory in context, something that's much more difficult when the event didn't actually occur.

My Dream Viva!!

This morning when I read The Sun (the nation's FREE newspaper, which I get it from the cafe@10 every morning)..I came across one small advertisement on the top right corner of the newspaper (yellow in color)...it was written like this "DIGI 50 cars/50 days Giveaway - 38 Viva to go - Reload RM 50 now!"

Today's (Friday - 25 May 2007) The Sun

Ermm..it has been a while that I dont drive and own a car since I sold my baby Kelisa in December 2004...I bought the kelisa on June 2004 a month before I got married. I really miss my baby Kelisa..I am planning of having a car again but have not yet decided when is the right time to buy since the Perodua frequently launch a new car..maybe I shud wait for another model to be released...everytime I watch a Perodua Viva advertisement on TV I feel like to own one. The car is so compact and convenient for city drive...it's the perfect car for ladies.

I feel like trying my luck to win the Perodua Viva in the DIGI contest..the problem is...I am not a DIGI but a MAXIS subscriber..then, I tried to persuade my colleagues Ain & Ira to try out their luck in the contest since they are DIGI subscriber...hey,c'mon...who knows..maybe luck will be on their side...

As for me, I shud think of buying instead of winning it. Viva...nice name & nice car..but of course not now..maybe later when I am financially-free.

A Lending Hand

Everybody knows LRT is the most convenient public transport but at the same time it also a "moving" refigerator. So packed & crowded...the natural aromatic smell from body odour,perfume,air-cond,and etc..a mixture of everything...really makes me drowned!!..I wish I can work from home rather than to face all this hassles everyday..It makes me boring and give up with the way of Malaysian living...

PUTRA LRT or "moving" refrigerator

Each station the PUTRA stops will make the PUTRA go slower...hehe..maybe because of the load...One incident happened in the crowded PUTRA this morning, a minute after the PUTRA passed by the Kerinchi station, one of the lady in front of me suddenly collapsed...or should I used a word fainted...to be accurate. She looked very weak and her hands on forehead. I believed that she had an headache before she fainted or else she suffered a morning sickness (pregnancy symptom maybe) huhu...Then, I helped her up, and get someone to give her a seat...unfortunately I forgot to bring "minyak cap kapak" as I used to bring everyday in case im having the same symptom (morning sickness)..hehe

headache or morning sickness?

After I put her to the seat, I asked whether she needs anything...water?panadol?or plastic bag maybe..in case if she feels like throw up (or vomit)..sometimes we probably thinking that all the mentioned stuff are not important but in certain emergency cases those stuff will help a lot..ok,back to the story..then I tried to comfort her..to make sure she is fine all the way to her destination...I asked her where is she headed to?..she said KLCC...then I can only look after her until Masjid Jamek station because my destination stopped there.

Before I stepped out from the PUTRA..I waived my hand to her showing that I was leaving...with no thank you or smile, she nodded and leaving me with the worried feelings...but I understand..maybe she was in pain or too weak to response...it doesn't bother me at all, maybe I will react the same if I were in her shoes.. as long as she still alive and my help makes her feel good and easy...I am happy with that..what I did this morning was just lending my hand for a help...

helping hand

My-First-PDA..

Hooorayyyy...At last!!...I bought my first PDA yesterday..Model DOPOD 818 Professional..(Alhamdulillah..dapat gak ler kehendak hati tu)...Price??hehe...take a wild guess!..what do ya expect for a second hand..must be cheaper la than the brand new...the reason I bought it because the condition - 90% like new...tiptop (no scratches,no defect...)and other hidden reason..hehe...the salesperson was damn cute!!huhuhu...

What I like about this PDA:-
  1. The features & its functions

  2. The shape

  3. and the most I like is the size..as Billy (salesperson) said it is suitable for a lady
I like to play around with the features and functions and now becoming one of the PDA-addicts... addicted to it...It's like addicted to PS2..It's so user friendly and very easy to use...wif its cute stylus pen...since this is my first time I owned a PDA...my husband always remind me to take a good care of it...I will dear, dont worry...hehe

Today, to make full use of my PDA (nak test power since the PDA also act as a camera..tp 2.0 Megapixels jer la), me and my "poyos" gang (akla & ira) having a "photo session" at cafe@10... we prefer to call ourselves "wacko ladies" ...got brain but like to do idiots things (bende bende bodoh/giler)..hehe (sorry guys...just kidding)..but akla & ira are my best buddies in PwC...they help me a lot in anyway they can...owwhh...so terharu...you all memang best giler!!..so,with this "wacko ladies" ..we took a few shot of our photo in different angles and styles...but we managed to have few shots...a lot of people in the cafe..we kinda malu malu gitu.!ahaks.Here are the few shots:

PDA Dilemma..??

Since this morning I cant help myself searching on the net for PDA..I am looking for a second hand PDA as I cant afford to own a brand new PDA..hehe (c'mon.. should I invest like RM 2000++ or more for a brand new PDA??).Trust me, it's not worth at all because you are not gonna use it forever...Many people bought a PDA then sell it after using it for few months...Whether they do not know how to make full use of the functions or they dont see the importance of having one or they easily get bored with it...errmm..there are 1000 reasons of buying or selling it...but as for me, I need it because it is important to me.Actually to buy this gadget we need to have a good info (market price, specification, add on application, etc) about it to avoid ourselves being cheated by the seller/supplier especially for the second hand.Unless,if you buy it directly from the manufacturer, then it's worth the money.

Why suddenly I need to buy a PDA??..The answer is very simple...One of the biggest benefits of the PDA is its ability to hold large amounts of information in a small box and the best thing is, very useful for quick reference. For me, thinking of furthering studies will be vital for me to have a gadget like this to ease my learning process...hehe...

on the other hand, the advantages of having a PDA;
  • today's PDAs can also keep us amused with games, music, and video; a growing number have built-in cameras, and a few newer ones integrate GPS receivers as well.

  • Even entry-level PDAs now have color screens, and all but the most inexpensive models also let you track e-mail, browse the Web, and send instant or text messages via built-in wireless Internet connectivity--Bluetooth (for connecting via a Bluetooth cell phone), Wi-Fi, and/or (in the case of PDA-phone hybrids) cellular networks.
  • At the high end, a couple of models support two or three modes of wireless connection, so we can enjoy broadband speeds at Wi-Fi hotspots and increasingly speedy cellular hookups almost anyplace else

I found a few PDA in lelong.com.my and there are 2 best PDA for me to choose (these 2 includes all the advantages listed above):

Now it comes to dilemma...which one should I go for?..top or bottom?...ermmm..both are good in functions and features..nice design too...hehe...but I am more interested on the top..(model O2 XDA IIs) price @ RM 1,050. On the bottom is the same model (but older version I guess) only price @ RM 800.Will drop by at this shop, E-Trade Enterprise - Summit USJ (as adevertised in lelong.com.my) after office hour today for a survey and to seek some advise from the experts on which PDA is good to buy...

My Workstation

I was late this morning...overslept!!hehe..was on MC yesterday.I told my colleagues that my nose was bleeding but actually it worst than that.but it's too way personal to tell..let me keep it to myself.

I reached the office at 9 am...sigh...Thank God nobody noticed I was in that late except for my colleague seating next to me...hahaha...she's OK because she's almost the same...hehehe..hopefully she don't read this.

I missed office very much..dunno why but I missed my PC,my workstation..maybe because I own the most cheerful and lively workstation in PwC compared to others..It's true...see to believe!..hahaha..

Cheerful isn't it?Maybe it can't be seen clearly because I took the photo in wrong angles..Summore, I know my desk was a bit messy the time I took the photo..everyday my desk never empty always filled wif papers & files...For me,it's my second place to hang out and express my feelings..I like to put a bit of decor art on it...to make it look cheerful and lively...I hate to see something common because for Ariens..they tend to get boring easily wif something...& someone...(I can be sure of this..Ariens out there!are u agree wif me??)... So, to avoid boringness in my daily worklife, I try to put some light to my decorations...and dont be surpsrised, 7/10 of people passing by my workstation will stop by and give compliment..hehe...im not a type of person who likes to put too many things like ornaments on christmas tree.I have seen one before..not in PwC of course...hehe..hopefully I can think of something nice for my new workstation @ KL Sentral soon...

A Blurrrrrr Me....!!

I received a call from Aishah of Cosmopoint yesterday evening..ermmm..but cant remember the exact time of her calling. She mentioned that I passed the exam...exam??what exam??the last exam I sat was 3 years ago... and the weird thing is, this is first time I heard Cosmopoint got something to do wif me. Yes...Cosmopoint, a building (Wisma Sachdev) next to my office...to refresh, our conversation goes something like this:

Aishah: Hello...Boleh saya bercakap dengan Cik Noor Azmah?

Me: Ye saya

Aishah: Saya Aishah dari Cosmopoint. Saya nak inform yang Cik Azmah telah lulus exam semalam

Me: Huh?Exam?

Aishah: Exam yang Cik Azmah duduki semalam untuk menjadi antara peserta yang terpilih untuk mendapat biasiswa bernilai RM 14K untuk menjalani IT Specialist Training selama 6 bulan.

Me: Owh,yea...now I remember..Alhamdulillah. So....,?

Aishah:Adakah Cik Azmah masih berminat untuk meneruskan dengan tawaran yang diberikan?

Me: Yes, why not..apa prosedur selepas ni?

Aishah: Actually, Cik Azmah baru saja melepasi stage yang pertama, stage yang kedua akan diadakan interview bersama dengan wakil dari kerajaan.

Me: stage yang kedua?

Aishah: Seperti yang dterangkan dalam taklimat skop kerja (job briefing) semalam.

Me: Oppss...sorry saya tak attend job briefing tu sebab saya terpaksa balik ke office atas urusan kerja.ok..takper, then biler interview tu?

Me: Ok takde masalah..thanks for the info

Aishah: Sama sama..

Actually the conversation was quite long but I make it short & simple..hehe..I was blur that time when she mentioned about the exam but then I can see the clear picture of what she was trying to tell me...What a blur me!..simple thing also so difficult to understand. This thing always happen when I am too tied with something; work, responsibility, etc.Too many things inside my mind..a mixture of everything
&*#@$>^+.

Should or should not I proceed with this?...

My feelings after being informed that I have passed the exam, for the truth I felt happy but unhappy on the other side because if I were being accepted to this program:-

1. I have to quit my current job at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Cosmo needs my full time commitment for 6 months).. how about friends??gonna miss them so much

2. No more monthly payment like I used to get.. (sob..sob..sob)

3. I dont have the oppurtunity to work at PwC's new office @ KL Sentral. (heard rumours - move on August)

4. No more "Administrator" title

Whatever it is, Alhamdullilah (praise to Allah) for His Bless. If this is the path that He chose for me, I believe it is the BEST and I'll accept it with OPEN HEART....
